Rachel and Michael had a stunning Summer wedding day at The Elysean in Fort Wayne, IN.

I met Rachel and Michael for the first time a few months back at their smoking hot engagement session. Seriously, it was SO HOT outside. It was muggy, buggy and we all felt like we were melting.. but I left that session feeling so excited for their wedding day. The way these two interact and love each other is why I photograph weddings. They have been doing the long distance thing for years, so when they’re together, nothing else matters but the two of them. They cherish the moments they make together.

We started the day in downtown Fort Wayne at The Elysean where everyone got prepared for the day, then went down the block for their ceremony at First Presbyterian Church. Michael tearfully watched as his bride walked down the aisle towards him, and they smiled at each other nearly the entire ceremony. Their friends and family gathered and cheered for a classic bubble exit after the ceremony. Rachel and Michael celebrated in the trolley with their friends, took photos downtown at The Courthouse, and returned to celebrate their reception at The Elysean. They cut their wedding cake, their friends and family gave heartfelt speeches, and they had the sweetest dances with their parents. All around it was an absolutely perfect day. And I’m a little sad it’s over! I’m going to miss working with you both! You’re such a wonderful couple that is destined to do great things together.
