Kayla and Noah had an intimate wedding at Union 12 in Columbia City, Indiana.
I received an email from Kayla a month before her wedding day as she was looking for a photographer to cover her small Monday wedding that was quickly approaching. October is the busiest month of the year for most photographers, but she had me at “small wedding on a Monday,” and I just knew I had to fit that into my schedule. Everyone thinks you have to get married on the weekend, but guess what… it doesn’t have to be like that. Especially when you have a guest list of less than 30 people. It was perfect. Kayla and Noah lucked out with the most gorgeous mid-70’s Fall weather. It was such a relaxed day, and I had so much fun with the two of them.

Kayla suddenly felt a bit light headed before the ceremony. Although she wasn’t planning a first look, that’s what she needed the day of her wedding. Impromptu first looks are ok!

Union 12 offers a beautiful outdoor covered patio that makes a perfect ceremony location close to the reception room.

Noah and Kayla wanted to exchange their vows privately. After the ceremony, and when the guest’s were enjoying appetizers, they went back to the ceremony location and privately exchanged vows. It was perfect, emotional, and exactly what these two needed. It can be nerve wracking to publicly speak in front of your guests. But your vows are personal. I love that Noah and Kayla decided to exchange their vows this way.

Congratulations Mr & Mrs Glass!! Your wedding was one of my personal favorites this year. Weddings don’t have to be large to be beautiful. Your intimate wedding day was absolutely perfect.
