One thing I love about my job is that every wedding is different… sure, everyone get’s married and typically has a reception… But every wedding has different details, the emotions are different depending on the bride & grooms personality, the prayers and ceremonies are different.. it’s what keeps our jobs exciting!

Alex and Heather had a great idea that doesn’t occur very often. They decided to have two ceremonies. Yes, TWO ceremonies! We loved it! Alex wanted a traditional Catholic ceremony held in the church and Heather always dreamed of an outdoor, fall ceremony. Instead of giving in to one or the other, they decided to incorporate both.

Thursday evening their closest family and friends (about 20 people or so) gathered to witness the small Catholic ceremony as Alex and Heather exchanged vows. It was short, sweet and we could tell it meant the world to Alex. He shed a few tears as his beautiful bride walked down the isle. It was perfect.

The following day the festivities continued as we had ceremony #2 and the reception to celebrate!

Alex’s Mom made Heathers dress as well as ALL the bridesmaid dresses. This is one talented lady!! Her work is INCREDIBLE.

Since Alex and Heather were officially married the night before, their nerves were at ease. There was no pressure to have a ‘first look’. We took all the photos before the second ceremony. It was so fun and relaxed!

The second ceremony was held at a local park under the cutest little red gazebo!

Alex and Heather wrote their own vows to personalize the ceremony. What a touching, special moment! I witnessed many tissues ;)
